Barn Owl Trust
The Barn Owl Trust wanted to keep the look of their old website, particularly the homepage, but it needed a radical overhaul of the way the content was organised, to make it much more user friendly.
We have worked closely with this inspirational charity for many years and wanted to make it possible for them to have complete control over migrating and re-organising their enormous website (over 400 pages including a huge amount of detailed, specialist advice and information, a shop, donations and news & events sections) – and we understood the need to keep strictly within their limited budget.
Knowing that the small team of staff, while not especially technically minded, are hard-working, conscientious and willing to learn, we worked with them to build the underlying structure, with an entirely new navigation system and menus.
We then embarked on a series of workshops showing them the basics of WordPress content management and writing for the web. This was backed up by ‘How to’ instructions, and as much one to one help as was needed – which in the event was not a great deal.
